FullTiltPoker.com unveils new “Durrrr Challenge” Info page

Posted under Poker & online poker & poker celebrities & poker rooms & poker tournament & professional poker

FullTiltPoker.com has just launched a brand new informative site covering all the action of the “Durrrr Challenge”, an incredible online heads up tournament involving some of the finest big money poker players taking on the Heads Up Specialist Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The new website section gives poker players and followers the chance to stay on top of this historical online poker challenge and check out timely updates. With this innovative “durrrr heads up Challenge” portal fans can track all the details and look at each poker hand played during this poker challenge, and look at lots of stats, including how many hands were played, time of session, cash won, average won during each hand and lots more.

Close to six months ago, the 23 year old online poker phenomenon dealt out a heads-up poker challenge for any poker player with the cash, time and talent to accept it. Any player entering the poker challenge has to bet $500,000 against durrrr’s $1.5 million. Dwan’s challenge states that at least 50,000 hands need to be played simultaneously at 4 or more poker tables of no-limit Hold’em or pot-limit Omaha. At the end of the poker challenge, the poker player who has more cash will secure the pool. Basically if you enter the Full Tilt Challenge and win a dollar after the 50,000 hands, then you will take home durrrr’s $1.5 Million, but if he succeeds by a dollar then he will take your $500,000.

So far, several poker players have accepted to play the “durrrr challenge”, including WSOP Champ Phil Ivey and David Benyamine, but, only Patrick Antonius has accepted the challenge. Thus far, both poker players have completed in a total of 20,647 poker hands out of 50,000, with Tom durrrr Dwan ahead $726,546 total.

Is Bragging in Texas Hold’Em a Good Idea?

Posted under poker tips & poker tournament & texas holdem

poker bragging
The most insufferable characters at the Texas Hold’em table the majority of times will always be the show-off. You recognize the guy I’m talking of. He’s the guy that sits down at the Texas Hold’em Poker table and makes certain you’re aware that he wants to win all of your no limit Texas Hold’em poker chips; exiting the no limit Texas Hold’em poker table with the very same outlook that he showed-up with. Even if this guy gets killed, he has in his mind that he is the finest no limit Texas Hold’em poker player on the planet.

Though the majority of poker players would preferably keep away from competition of this class, there are those who might argue that shooting off their mouths might have its good points. So, the big question is: Is there really a skillful Texas Hold’em Poker attention-seeker or dishonest poker attention-seeker? Boasting about how skillful you are in poker is basically just like stating: “I’m the best poker player around, always remember to stay on top of things while you’re sitting in a no-limit Texas Hold’em game against me!” Most certainly that is the most terrible vibe to give out playing poker. What’s more, spilling too much information about your no-limit Texas Hold’em playing approach can be unfavorable to your poker game. You positively do not want these individuals to have an idea about how you bet on specific Texas Hold’em hands.

Furthermore there are those Texas Hold’em Poker competitors who might utilize bragging as a style of Texas Hold’em Poker trick, or bluff. Shooting off your mouth when you get a certain poker hand could possibly fool your opponents and baffle them about your poker playing style. There are those who might think that this plan somewhat deceitful, but it is key to not forget that there aren’t any regulations against it in no-limit Texas Hold’em. Poker is all about making use of what you have and utilizing it to the end.

Online Texas Hold’em Poker Special Investigation Show will be shown on TV

Posted under Poker & poker chips & poker rooms

60 minutes
This Sunday, November 30th the CBS network will show their special program “How Online Gamblers Unmasked Cheaters”. This investigation special was created after a sixteen week study into the online Texas Hold’em poker industry and particularly a scandal in relation to the online poker website Absolute Poker.

This Texas Hold’em poker webpage was studied after some of the Texas Hold’em poker players on the webpage stated that some person was unlawfully winning an incredible amount of poker hands. Todd Witteles was a major witness in this inquiry, according to Witteles; he was losing huge amounts of money to the exact same Texas Hold’em poker player. Witteles declared that this poker player was raising against awfully good cards, most players would have assumed he was simply giving his money to the other players, but he was incredibly earning tons of chips.

Witteles was pretty accurate with his assumptions, it was later discovered that a poker player who knew about the site was able to view any player’s poker hole cards. With the first look, Absolute Poker proclaimed that there were no issues with the website or the Texas Hold’em competitor. After a great deal of players presented the site with charges of fraud, the Texas Hold’em webpage looked deeper into the cheating problem and made the discovery.

By Jan. of this year, the KGC exposed what the Texas Hold’em poker competitors and the Texas Hold’em poker website had suspected all the time. It turned out that, there was an employee who had attacked the poker room’s security and was competing unlawfully for around a month and a half. The inquiry showed that the poker site had not benefited from the illegal transactions in any way, and was positively not implicated.

These situations are further evidence that there must be more laws regarding online Texas hold’em websites. The U.S. government should authorize and legalize the online Texas Hold’em poker industry to defend these decent customers. These guidelines would also regulate the entry to these websites by kids, which is turning into another fear nowadays.

Is it Possible to Make Money in the Game of Poker Tournaments?

Posted under internet poker & las vegas poker & learning poker

poker champ
If you were to talk to any ordinary guy or girl off the street about online poker, they most likely wouldn’t deem Texas Hold’em poker to be a game of tactics, plans, or study. More than likely when you point out online Texas Hold’em poker with them, they would in all probability visualize some friends sitting around their living room having conversations and smoking cigars. They also could believe online poker to be a game of pure luck as opposed to skill, closer to a game of blackjack rather than chess, for instance.

So the big doubt is: “Would it be possible for me to make money by playing in poker tournaments?”. You may have your doubts but, the answer to this question is a very strong “yes”. Numerous folks not only make some money by playing online Texas Hold’em, but also become very rich by playing poker tournaments. The key point you need to remember about online Texas Hold’em is that although you can play in a Las Vegas, Nevada casino, close to roulette tables and slots; in Texas Hold’em you are not competing against the house but against other Texas Hold’em poker competitors. Therefore, in truth, you are gambling your money against other contenders in a match of aptitude as opposed to a game of chance.

You might be saying to yourself: “Isn’t being lucky a big part as well?” Of course in online Texas Hold’em poker, not a soul knows which hands will be dealt out. That doesn’t indicate that you can’t play poker with a dependable quantity of pre-game know-how. One key point to keep in mind in Texas Hold’em is that numbers do not lie. Statistics has a rather significant role in the game of poker. Not to mention, that even if you get a little lucky frequently the statistics always seem to humble you.

Don’t forget that Las Vegas, Nevada casino table games similar to Texas Hold’em poker where you are really competing versus other real-life contenders CAN be won. The more you play the game of online Texas Hold’em, you will notice that it is more of game of expertise and not just pure luck.
